Brief info

Noel spent over thirty years working with Cork City Fire Brigade where he gained extensive experience in the area of training. He aided in organising National Emergency training courses for the Department of the Environment. While employed by Cork City Fire Brigade Noel undertook many training courses to become an instructor in; Confined Space training, Emergency Response Training Hazardous Response, etc. Noel began training in Industry including chemical plants in 1990 and gained extensive knowledge of Emergency Response management, preparation and training suitable to industry. In January 2009 F.R.T.S safety training company was established and has continued to provide a high-quality service to clients under Noels Management, also in 2009 Noel became a FAS confined Space Instructors after completing a FETAC level 6 instructors course.

  • 2000 - Instructor; Training Fire Officers, RTA, Clonmel.
  • 2000 - Promoted to Station Officer.

  • 2004 – Prepared and trained 15 recruits for the INSTITUTE of FIRE ENGINEERS examinations, with the Cork City Fire Dept. {all applicants were successful}
  • 2004 – Course Director; Consolidation Training; for recruits, two weeks passing out parade at the end of above training
  • 2004; Senior Breathing Apparatus instructor for recruits Cork Fire Brigade
  • 2004 – Department of the Environment Instructor; responsible for all Fire Services in Ireland.
  • 2005 – C.I.T. College Instructor; teaching fire behaviour and Fire safety on ships, to Navy recruits, at the Marine College, Ringaskiddy, Co Cork.
  • 2008 Oct – Certified FAS & FETAC Confined Space Instructors Course 20 years’ experience training Industry on all of the above
