Louisa, HR Director and Business Owner, PT Lecturer, UCD & Smurfit
Louisa is the founder and owner of a HR consultancy firm with a speciality in providing Human Resource and Workplace Mediation Support to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. In addition, she lecturers in the field of HR and Organisational Behaviour in UCD and Smurfit on a part-time basis. Prior to starting her own company, she worked in various HR roles in both businesses partnering and project roles throughout Ireland and the UK for Bank of Ireland.
As a strong supporter of women in business Louisa has been involved in various networking groups including Network of Entrepreneurial Women (NEW) run by the Wicklow Local Enterprise Office. In addition, she has been a founding member of the Network Ireland Wicklow Branch and is the 2017/8 president for this branch.
Louisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Legal Studies, a Master’s in Business Studies – Human Resources and Industrial Relations and a Postgraduate Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution.
As a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a certified mediator with the Mediators Institute of Ireland, Louisa founded her company, Woodview HRM, in 2014. Louisa is experienced in helping organisations navigate their way through employment obstacles using a practical and no fuss manner focusing on business requirements while adhering to current employment legislation.
Through her line of work, Louisa has learned that people issues can be time consuming and complex, and she can provide advice and strategies to take the stress away.
